Crista Hope is a Los Angeles based artist living in Venice Beach.  Crista was born in Indianapolis, IN.  Her grandfather started a chain of restaurants in the Midwest in 1950 that is still running strong as a family business today.  Crista’s interest in art started in college with writing and photography and dabbling in painting.  After graduating from DePauw University with BA in Writing, Crista moved to New York City where she interned and eventually worked in the photo department at Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine.  During this time, Crista took many continuing education classes in photography and art history at The School of Visual Arts.  After working for Interview Crista went on to work for the famous party photographer Patrick McMullan who was famously discovered by Andy Warhol at Studio 54.  After getting sober and deciding to move on from high intensity party scene of the late 1990’s New York photography scene,  Crista went to work for the New York Open Center where she worked with the some of the worlds most renowned spiritual teachers while going back to school to get her Masters in Art & Spirituality from New York University.  In 2006, Crista moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico to take a break from city life.  Crista moved to Los Angeles in 2011 and currently lives in Venice Beach. 

 Crista’s mission as an artist is to touch the hearts of people and bring peace and joy into their lives.  Crista’s dream is that her artwork be a messenger of hope and inspiration to others reminding people of their who they are.  Passionate about mental health, Crista also teaches art and dance as therapy.  Throughout all her various endeavors, Crista has always made art.  She has been actively creating new work for over twenty years.  Crista has been commissioned by the likes of Pastor, Author & world-renowned life coach Tim Storey.  She currently shows her work at Art Unified in Venice, CA and in New York, Miami, Las Vegas and London with Plogix Art Gallery based in London.  Her work has been featured in Times Square, Waterloo Station in London, the Paris Marquee in Las Vegas, the Freize Art Fair in London, Art Basel in Miami, and Picadilly Circus in London.
